Safe Harbor is a town situated in the extreme south of Bahia, Brazil. Dispute with the neighboring municipalities of Santa Cruz Cabrália Prado and the primacy of being the place of arrival of the Portuguese in Brazil in 1500.
The city was founded in 1534. It has about 126,770 inhabitants and is tumbled almost entirely by heritage, not being allowed to build tall buildings (over two floors). It is cut by the Rio Buranhém.
