This apartment is set in the the city centre, next door to Rossio and Praça da Figueira.
After the great earthquake of 1755, when the centre of Lisbon was destroyed, a new one was constructed, made of grid pattern “geometrical” streets. This area, situated between Praça do Comércio, Rossio and Praça da Figueira is called Baixa.
It is next door to Baixa, now the heart of Lisbon’s historical centre, where apartment number 9 is located, at Largo de S. Domingos. There are several other apartments at Baixa.
Largo de S Domingos communicates also with Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, the location of many excellent fish restaurants as recommended by many city guides (see KLM Lisbon city guide). From this street leaves, every 15 minutes, the Elevador do Lavra, the oldest funicular in Lisbon (120 year old). It will bring you to the neighbourhood of Pena, where apartments 1 and 2 are located, and to the green spots of Jardim do Torel and Park of Campo de Santana. It is also close to Avenida da Liberdade, place of elegant fashion shops, hairdressers and also to a big health club.
You are within a few minutes walk to the castle (S. Jorge), Bairro Alto (by foot or taking the funicular Elevador da Glória) and Alfama with all their historical sights, museums, monuments, bars and restaurants.
The area is served by 2 subway lines , numerous bus lines and tram lines that will help you explore the city and nearby tourist sights such as Sintra and Cascais or the beaches around Caparica and the Estoril coast

House rulesCheck-in and check-out:
- Check-in is after 4 PM (You can always come after 11 to leave you luggage and get the keys, but if we have someone else leaving on the same day the apartment won't be ready before 4 PM).
- Check-out is until 11 AM.
In labour days, you can leave the luggage in our office before 11AM in the day of your check-in and/or after 4PM in the day of your check-out.
Please call us 30 minutes before your arrival.
Check-in Monday to Friday from 4PM to 9:30PM is free of charge, except on Portuguese public holidays.
- additional 30 Euro for check-in from 9:30 PM to 00:00 AM everyday;
- additional 45 Euro for check-in from 00:00 AM to 8:30 AM everyday;
- additional 25 Euro for check-in on Week-ends and on Portuguese public holidays till 9:30 PM.
Please note that, for security reasons, you must bring a copy of your id card or passport when you check-in.
Kindly note that a damage deposit of 150€ OR a credit card responsability term will also be asked upon arrival.
Cleaning and maintenance:
The apartment will be cleaned prior to the arrival of each tenant.
When leaving, the tenant is obliged to leave the apartment in a reasonable condition.
The tenant signing the check-in form will be liable for the correct and decent behavior of all the persons accompanying him/her, and specifically avoiding any activity that is against any law or health policy.
Don't forget that you are going to stay in residential buildings. Guests staying in one of our apartments should know that if parties or loud music are heard, or neighbors complain and/or police is called, it can result in immediate eviction. This will also result in loss of prepaid rent.
Quiet time is from 10 PM to 10 AM. We are sure that you understand that the nightly rest of other inhabitants must be respected.

Die Wohnung war sehr zentral am Rossio in der Innenstadt gelegen, sehr günstig für sämtliche Unternehmungen da U-Bahn, Taxi und Bahnhof in unmittelbarer Nähe sind. Sie liegt im dritten Stock, mit Blick auf das Theater. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe. Unter der Woche war es relativ ruhig trotz der zentralen Lage aber ab Freitag Abend über das Wochenende war an Schlaf ohne Ohropax nicht zu denken. Auch das Haus selbst ist sehr hellhörig. Die Ausstattung insgesamt ist ok wenn auch ein paar Stühle statt der Barhocker schön gewesen wären. Die sanitären Anlagen waren etwas abenteuerlich und eng. Für vier Personen ist die Wohnung von Größe und Ausstattung ausreichend wenn man keine großen Ansprüche an Komfort stellt.

Good location, clean and pleasant host
This flat is ideal in every respect. Located on a pedestrian street, above pastry shops and restaurants, it's in a busy part of town but it's quiet enough, since the bustle of the city subsides around 10:00 pm. The flat is easily reached by stairs or a small lift, and the building opens onto the pedestrian street. We were dropped off by taxi only a block away. The location is ideal in the centre of the Baixa district of Lisbon, the flat part in the centre of the city, with easy access to two railway stations, the Metro, trams and buses. Outside the front door is every convenience: a restaurant across the street, a convenience store almost next door run by a helpful and friendly family, and two pastry/coffee shops at the corner for your morning dose of caffeine. A large grocery store is two blocks away, an even larger one near the Rossio train station only a few blocks further. As to the flat itself, it's two bedrooms are well separated, each with its own bathroom, and the living room/dining room combination is spacious, with a nice TV with hundreds of channels in various languages. The kitchen is well equipped (even with a clothes washer and drying stand) and has everything one needs. We found it excellent for two adult couples, and it would serve a fairly large family with additional accommodation in the living room. The managers were excellent, on time and responsive, and we could not have hoped for a better flat, in a better location, for a perfect visit to a wonderful city. We are recommending it highly.
Bueno, inicialmente, el apartamento seleccionado, no fue el que elegimos, eso si, debo recalcar que tuvieron la gentileza de ponerse en contacto conmigo y mostrarme otro apartamento, de iguales características, muy cerca al centro histórico, que fue el
Apartamento 37 , muy bien ubicado, cerca a los lugares de interés y con una amplia oferta culinaria.
En líneas generales, cumplió las expectativas de alojamiento previstas.
La persona que nos recibió, muy amable, el apartamento muy limpio, con las cosas básicas.
El wifi excelente .
Tal vez habría que renovar el TV , modelo muy antiguo y con pocos canales.
Das Apartment 265 in Principe Real hat mir sehr gut gefallen - es ist geräumig, sehr gut gelegen und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen bequemen Aufenthalt benötigt. Der Service (Kontaktaufnahme, Check-in & Check-Out, Einweisung) hat perfekt funktioniert. Ich werde dieses Apartment gern wieder besuchen.
We met Thelma at the apartment, she gave us lots of information about the apartment and the local area. Although the apartment seemed smaller than we imagined by the photos it was really lovely. Both beds (normal double sized) were very comfortable. The kitchen area is fine and has all you need, we didn't eat at the kitchen table as we were out on the lovely sunny balcony most of the time we were in the apartment. The living area with TV is also comfortable and a nice addition when too warm outside. There is no air con in the apartment but we had the doors open most of the time and the curtains closed in the daytime and it kept the heat down. There are 2 outdoor areas but the balcony with lovely river views is the best. The bathroom with shower is great. As this apartment is on the fourth floor you will have lots of stairs to contend with, keeps you fit though! There is a little noise from the street below in the early hours as the gardeners in the park start early and also on Flea Market days but all in all not that bad. Would recommend this apartment for 2 to 3 people, maybe more and it may be too crowded. Lovely area in old Alfama with cobbled streets and hole in the wall bars, best area to stay from what we saw of Lisbon.
Very nice stay
Der Schlagzeile ist eigentlich nichts hinzu zufügen. Man muss aber erst mal 220 Stufen, in mehreren Etappen, von der nächsten METRO-Station erklimmen.
Der Blick ist wirklich fantastisch. Die Wohnung selbst bietet alles was man braucht. Man hat einen seperaten kleine Platz unter einem Zitronenbaum, wo man sitzen und essen kann. Darüber ein Hühnerstall, mit einem Hahn, der pünklich weckt. Aber uns hat es nicht gestört. Alles gut, gern mal wieder.
Buenos días : Lo mejor de la estancia: Thiago , nos recomendó sitios que ver, comery relajarse. El barrio muy típico y la casa rehabilitada con gusto , te encuentras bien en el pequeño pero coqueto apartamento. . Para la perfección mejorar pequeños detalles como el jabonero oxidado del lavabo o apenas papel higiénico en el servicio. La escalera del inmueble estuvo sin limpiar toda la estancia.
De todo ello me quedo con la simpatía de Thiago y la tranquilidad y la magia del barrio. Saludos
It's a great appartement at a great locaties. It is in the middle of the centrum And just a minute away from metro station rossio. The airco, bathrooms And bedrooms are great. Although one of the beds Isn't that comfortable, which is unfortunately the bed in the room with Airco. They might switch the beds around? So the place And appartement Its self is great, But the service.. We arrived And were told a wrong house number. After we arrived we got no instructions about the appartement. Apparently the Airco is leaking so you have to empty Some buckets which are standing underneath a van outside of the appartement otherwhise people at a restaurant get a little bit wet. We weren't told anything about that. They didn't Explain How the warm water was regulated And that was a little uncomfy, Because sometimes you have to be Hans klok to fix warm water. The most frustrating thing however was that we weren't told about a houskeeper. One day she just tried to walk in in the early Morning while we just came out the shower. I had put the door on lock otherwhise she would just have been looking at me who just came out of the shower... she started to call someone And left without saying a word. The organisation didn't call us for an apology And to Tell that she would come back later, Because she did that without us knowing that. Don't get me wrong it is great that the appartement is cleaned, but leave in mind we didn't get the chance to hide our valuables. There were a lot of things which are very valuable Laying in our appartement And it is not a very relaxed feeling that someone might walk in without you knowing it.
