Reviews of this property
Arjan is very welcoming and super friendly.
Its apartment is just the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam, it is located in a quiet area 2 minutes from the tram, the beds are comfortable. The terrace is beautiful.
I highly recommend this rental, we will certainly stay at Arjan next time we go there.
The room wasn’t a ‘chambre de luxe’, the photograph on the website didn’t correspond to the bedroom, it was the picture of the owner’s leaving room so that was misleading.
I first paid 90 euros for one night, then I read the ad in details I found out to my dismay that I would have to pay an extra 30 euros for cleaning because I only stayed one night.
Therefore when I arrived I paid these 30 euros for extra cleaning….but when I settled down in the room I realised that the cleaning hadn’t been done! The bin hadn’t been emptied, the coffee table hadn’t been cleaned but the worst of all, I found hair from the previous hosts on the pillow case which meant that even the sheets hadn’t been changed!
The toilets were in the entrance of the house so I had to go through the leaving room where the owner slept to get there, I couldn’t either lock my room.
To sum it up I think that to pay 120 euros a night to sleep in dirty sheets in a room at the back of a house is no less that a rip-off!
The location is great. The room is perfect for 3 to 4 person to sleep for 1 to 2 nights. Arjan is a very nice owner. One and all a very good place to sleep.
Het verblijf in de Roerstraat was uitstekend. Prima bed en douche. Rustig gelegen.
Groet, Frank
