Exploring the city further will take you past many beautiful theatres and cultural centres. Of particular note is Nordic House, a wonderful venue which hosts art exhibitions, concerts, and poetry readings among other cultural activities. One thing you must do when in Reykjavik is visit one of their geothermal pools. There are plenty around the city and there is even a geothermal beach! They are an important part of Icelandic culture and a visit to one of the pools is also a great way to meet and mix with some locals.
