Toulouse is a stunning city in beautiful Southern France and is the fourth largest city in the country. The city centre is small and you can explore many of the most interesting places by foot. Toulouse was once the site of an ancient Roman settlement and you will notice many red brick buildings of pseudo-Roman style here which is why Toulouse has the nickname – La ville rose (The Pink City). In fact, one of the main attractions in Toulouse is Cité de l'Espace, which is otherwise known as “Space City” and is described as a scientific theme park but without rides. Here you can see fascinating replicas of spacecraft and a planetarium among other interesting and interactive exhibits for the whole family.
